Flooring Calculator

Flooring Calculator is a free tool designed to help flooring contractors and home owners to calculate estimated floor price. It allows you to specify a floor area, choose between different material types or enter your own price. Also, it includes a waste factor for the material, moldings and the old floor removal option. There are some predefined material types and prices for hardwood flooring, carpets, laminate flooring, tile and vinyl flooring. Based on these settings Flooring Calculator gives you an approximate price of your project including materials and labor. Also it calculates the total square footage and perimeter (required for molding) of the specified area. If you need to enter more rooms Flooring Calculator creates as many additional room fields as you may need.

How It Works

Choose the material type from drop-down list or specify your own price by entering it in the "Price" field. If you are not sure about the material price it's recommended to leave the "Price" field empty and simply choose the material in the "Material" drop-down. Essentially, the "Price" field takes precedence.
Enter the dimensions of your floor. Please refer "How to do The Floor Measurements" article that explains how to make the process of measuring easier and more precise.
Optionally, you can specify some parameters such as "Removing the old floor" and/or "Molding" for the calculator so it will take additional expenses into account.
You are all set now, click "Calculate" button. Calculation results will appear in the bottom of the form.

Tip: When upgrading your kitchen and bathroom floors, you often have to upgrade your kitchen and bathroom fixtures, so If you are looking for affordable home improvement and kitchen and bathroom supplies, we recommend plumber's stock to find what you need on time and on the budget.

If you could assign types of material specifically to each room this app would be so much more useful. If you can add that feature I will gladly re install your app. It has a lot of potential, just needs a little more customization.

It would be nice to have a conversation to yard. Also a cut list option along with being able to take off fall to use for another room. For what my two sense are worth.

For carpet and vinyl that comes a certain width wide this doesn't figure that. W plugging in just room sizes.. Any thoughts on this..
